Isn't the entire point of a subathon to keep the stream going for days without going offline? Isn't it expected that the streamer would have to sleep occasionally? Nobody does a sleeping stream outside of a subathon.
Of course there's a difference to Ludwig's original subathon. In Ludwig's subathon you could actually see him sleep on stream, so you knew he actually spend all his waking time streaming and wasn't lying to his viewers. With vtuber avatars the streamer could be doing something else instead of sleeping.
