The divide between Hololive talents and Hololive fans is some genuinely crazy shit. Hololive talents are largely salt of the earth people like Mumei and Kiara who take time out of their life to help out their friends when they're going through rough times, meanwhile you have Hololive fans saying they genuinely want talents to kill themselves simply because they joined and got mistreated by a shit company after putting a lot of effort into it.
Then you have this whole layer of fake "wholesomeness" on top of it (ex. the people pretending they gave a shit about Sana only after the graduated, the forced positivity in threads like hlgg) but it comes with the connotation that as a talent, you're pretty much only allowed to be friends with other Hololive talents.

I honestly think Doki is in a good spot to do a lot better as an indie, she's in a spot to retain her core audience and potentially even make a living taking home a higher percentage of revenue without the really shit drawbacks that being a company vtuber comes with.
