It can’t be denied anymore that the market for virtual Youtuber is over saturated with dozen, if not hundreds of them, each less original than the last. So a question must be asked: How long until the Vtuber bubble pops and the industry collapses in on itself as the free market dictates?

Why do people keep asking this
For how many years has streaming been around now, this is just a form of streaming
Vtubers will come and go but vtubing itself is here to stay

As long as anime and streaming exist, vtubers will exist, and both aren't going away any time soon.

It can’t be denied anymore that the market for equities is over saturated with dozen, if not hundreds of them, each less original than the last. So a question must be asked: How long until the global economy pops and the industry collapses in on itself as the free market dictates?

What you don't understand is that the cost of being a Vtuber can be relatively low so someone can easily stream on their free time while still being in the red from their rig and just have fun with their following.
This is like arguing that there's too many YouTube channels and that somehow channels are going to lose subscribers on mass or something; if you like the content you're free to consume it whenever you want so the opportunity cost of watching A over B is extremely low especially if you don't give a shit about stream chat and aren't a paypig.

People have been doomposting about "collapse" because of "oversaturation" since 2018. Not happening any time soon because we've yet to reach the audience size cap (estimated hard ceiling is the anime fan global population).

I would love nothing more than to be freed at last from these anime women living rent-free in my head, and able to socialize again like a normal human.

but never fear, every year there will be a fake and gay "new strain" and your social credit score will plummet from going outside. Your future will be goslinging alone in your room, forever, producing capital for globohomo until you die. But you'll at least have the company of a prime curated selection of virtual girlfriends and the 5 to 10 thousand simps in each of their stream chats.

It's not bursting this time, because the market is now controlled by a dozen of corporations. As soon as they detect loss of profit, they'll just fire people at will and introduce new things.

I like this timeline.
I went from 0 female interaction to having a selection of cute anime girls to watch and talk to.
This is a vast improvement no matter how I look at it. Thanks, chinkflu.

I'm a tourist that sees these threads every day in the recently updated section.

Vtubers were already oversaturating a shitty market of shitty youtube streamers, they just made it less grungy dudes and more grungy-dudes with an annoying squeaky hentai voice over it.

Whenever i have those thoughts i remind myself there are 8 billion souls on this earth and most dont live up to social norms of my culture that puts this pressure on me. Then i become content with my state. Big woop, many die off much worse.
