I always wonder about that. The first game was essentially doomed anyway, because they got fucking garbage loot and got surrounded by a bunch of squads with purple armor. I don't think either Gib or a better mental state could have done any better than Selly ratting to 8th.
Game 3 gave them a sort of mental reset that resulted in game 4 having another good result, and game 5 was unaffected.
The only question is whether game 2 could have gone better if Towa wasn't tilted as fuck, which it very well could have, especially given the early dome that frustrated Selly. But then you get into butterfly effect questions like would Selly's superhero move in game 3 have happened if Towa wasn't dead, etc.
In essence, it's probably just best not to dwell on the Lifeline pick.

The theme of this CR cup is "summer memories", you can get a 2 point deduction for your team if one of your members writes a "summer-themed story" and posts it on Twitter. They played rock-paper-scissors to decide who would write it, and Met lost. She posted it on Twitter today. Basically the story is about an guy who goes to meet up with his friends at a summer firework festival, but this random girl shows up and random drags him off somewhere. He tries to get her to kiss him by saying she needs to be punished with a "penalty kiss" for messing with him, but right before he kisses her, a firework goes off and she disappears.
Basically it's just a really cheesy summer love story, Towa said she wanted to read it on stream but Met was begging her not to because it was so embarrassing. She read the first few lines and then just summarized the rest. Towa said she laughed really hard when Met originally sent it to her, and it cheered her up.
