Deadbeats (and generally warm-blooded animals) from the Moriji mountains tend to rarely get sick while traveling abroad, since most viruses and bacteria evolve to grow optimally in bodies that are 10 to 20 degrees C warmer than a deadbeat's. Their slowed growth makes it easier for the immune system to deal with threats.
However, that means Deadbeats can be asymptomatic carriers of some illnesses, and there are deadbeat-specific ills that do not affect other human populations.

Didn't/doesn't really happen in /uuu/, short of insanely horrible events yabs/drama since the forest has a pretty good hold on its own biological processes. Should anything happen the Matres can generally take care of it before it becomes a big issues. Obviously all of this is contingent upon being within /uuu/'s domain. Any saplings that might travel outside of the forests will generally succumb to any illnesses like any other organism. The only real "naturally reoccurring" "disease" was/is S.C.U.M.

Also a lot of diseases can be treated with good nutrition and rest. Only the more extreme viruses, bacterial, and fungal infections lead to death. Also the more deadly a virus is the less likely it is to survive because its better for the virus to keep its host alive to reproduce than kill it. Then again pre-truth era humans just isolate the infected and let them starve to death. Or they bleed the infected like pigs which they themselves get infected.

Post-truth modern healthcare is no better. Now they just tell you to euthanize yourself to save costs- I mean the environment and those who need it.

I'm wondering if portable soup would be a good space food. All you need to add is boiling hot water and mix. Which if it is the base in space food mixing is easy. You fill the dehydrated pouch via nozzle. The pouches are vaccuum sealed so the water doesn't spill out in zero-g. To mix the pouch you just massage it or shake it.

Kind of. Instant noodles tends to have a wax-like starch layer to preserve them. Also the flavoring is like bullion.

>>69631717
Freeze-drying something I think is simple in theory. You need to freeze the thing so quickly that the moisture inside it and around it doesn't form ice. If /morig/ pulls it off then its only for feeding /morig/ due to sub-zero refrigeration needed to preserve it.

You're thinking of flash-freezing, which could be done too, it's good for seafood especially. Freeze drying is when you freeze something in a vacuum so that all the water evaporates without disturbing the structure of the food with the thawing, that gives it a long shelf life but it's easy to rehydrate so that it's almost as good as it used to be.

>> No.69636499

>>69635534
I'm a little tired. I was thinking either way food freezes in no moisture. So for freeze-dry you need to figure out where you can have a no moisture environment to do this. Which is harder than it looks on a glacier.

In inf island, there's a process called Kronography, to speed up the life span of the offending germs/bacteria as well as to determine where it would strike next(called Kronoscreen).
