More like settling. You didn't believe that those sky high views of the first week would be the norm? All vtuber debuts start out like that. It's after the first month where you see what the average will be. Then you have to factor in type of game vs. their audience and collabs to gauge the fluctuations. Those who have a high live viewer count all the time are more of the exception than the rule. A lot of vtubers have a wide range of live viewers depending on what they play, what they do or what they are renowned for. Probably hard to tell that with a lot of tourist or baiters acting like each new vtuber is going to be a game changer based on one debut stream.

Redjuice was (presumably) paid for his work. His concern should end there. I assume he's enough of a professional to have the hindsight that his design was ultimately not the right fit even if he was the guy who got the job.

I don't mind Redjuice as an artist, but in this case, his work on IRyS in particular is just a failure on multiple levels.

The design itself is a bit of a clusterfuck, the style doesn't translate well to a Live2D model, and to begin with, the character design really doesn't fit IRyS' personality OR voice.
