Coco was a thing specifically in being the foil to the typical seiso idol approach many other Holo girls have, like putting a bit of spice into a mix that otherwise wouldn't be there - but the thing is when she leaves and joins an environment that is totally irreverent of Holo's style of things and where she is also no longer the rudest/lewdest one in the bunch, she isn't actually all that notable anymore.

kinda random comparison but a long time ago, I liked Tim and Eric Awesome Show on adult swim. The limits of needing to be public broadcast meant they couldn't just rely on nonstop swearing and sex and toilet jokes and they wound up with some very creative approaches to humor - however when they tried making a movie, where it was R-rated and they could do anything they wanted, somehow with that freedom they become a fucking lot more ordinary and fucking sucked a lot lot more because they could just do gross-out/sex joke type stuff all they wanted.

It was a revelation to me that actually sometimes, when you have certain easy roads and strats cut off, the 'necessity is the mother of invention' drive kicks in and some people are able to make interesting new solutions. Not everyone, some people will just suck more if they have no idea how to do their thing without their fallback strats, but it will make some ordinary people turn into geniuses. We kinda see that with Coco -> kson, the Holo environment made her more interesting than she is.

Regardless of what opinions one may have on her content in or after Hololive, this particular moment definitely felt like a sea change. It was the first time that EOP vtuber fans were exposed to the concept of a vtuber graduation, thus resulting in a sort of "loss of innocence" for that entire contingent of fans. Her reincarnation as Kson also had a significant effect, as prior to that discussing PLs was seen as entirely negative, stalking behaviour only done by creeps like that Poka guy, but graduations (and terminations) becoming more common in the EN vtuber sphere gradually changed that perception.
