Vshojo only occasionally picks up 4views who are friends with current members so their expansion will always be pretty slow. Their niche of basically letting their talents do whatever they want while they network with big flesh streamers seems pretty stable though.

People won't like what I have to say, but since Cover's western expansion has been a success, I'm expecting a collaboration with VShojo at some point. Of course I don't mean talent collabs. Can't find the tweet but Yagoo seems to have a positive impression of Gunrun and VShojo. Much like Cover has built connections with Anycolor in JP, they'll start to build connections with VShojo now.

Riku Tazumi will continue to do what Riku Tazumi does best.
He will prey on more dreams, he will grow fat on your need for solace.
He will regurgitate more waves to manipulate the stressed out populace.
As he leaves those exploited by his company in the dust, he will sleep soundly in his suite unmoved by the grief he has caused, the lives he has ruined.
Then he will leave the ruin as if he were never there.
There is no passion, no hope, only the cold psycopathy of a businessman who plays dice with the lives of people.

A culture of bringing your friends into the company doesn't make a clique culture. In fact in Phase's case its probably one of the reasons they've been so damned successful. Everyone gets along and supports each other. It seems like a lot of people around here don't know the difference between a positive work environment and a clique. A clique by definition is an exclusive group. An elevated few that works to hold others down while only promoting themselves. Phase doesn't do that.

The difference between Phase nepohiring vs Niji Nepohiring is the balance.
If you look into it, the PC nepohires are spread between 3-4 talents, and some of the nepohires are connected to all the key talents. If you throw Sakana himself doing some nepohires it's even more distributed. Meaning there's no real power imbalance. NijiEN nepohiring revolves around one person. That's the problem because instantly there's way too much influence concentrated around one person.

>> No.71180387

They thought that they would see Kson and Nazuna and would come flocking to see them. In reality, Nazuna literally left from lack of support (Vshojo Next was literally just the two, did they think more Holomems would defect for talent freedom™?) and Kson has only found success streaming in japanese when she is on youtube, where she doesn't brand herself as Vshojo.

>> No.71180993

>>71180387
There's also the fact that you'd expect a lot of nepohiring at the start. That's just the reality, PC didn't have the budget to on a massive recruiting spree and any big name wouldn't even look their way because of the lack of reputation. Niji on the other hand was around the time EN was launched, a market leader. They had the funds and resources to not resort to constant nepohiring.
Different expectations for different business life cycles. There's a local small family accounting firm who hired their daughter as a accountant where I live. Absolutely no problems there. But if you're Ernst & Young there's no reason that 1/2 an entire branch of 100+ employees is nepohired.

I completely forgot about that. I guess Anycolor can hide behind the fact that their quarterly reports are a month and a half behind so it’ll cover the period up to January 31, making it easier to lie to their dumber investors that somehow weren’t aware of the drama. But even then it won’t be easy to sidestep it for the next earnings report where they’ll have to admit that they were kicked out of one American convention, making North American appeal impossible.

That's something that has been on my mind lately. Not only phase and niji, but almost any company, hololive included, allows talents to recommend someone to the agency.
But a crucial difference I'm seeing is, if NijiEN staff did not speak english, how the fuck were the interviews conducted? I find it hard to believe they paid an outsourced translator when they could have just put Elira or Petra on the call.

And this is why there's massive problems with talents doing translating. Not only do they have access to confidential information of people who might not even be employees, you're relying on thruthfulness and objectivity from someone who may have a vested interest in seeing some pass or fail auditions. Imagine someone Petra/Elira hates is in auditions, they're not really going to try to paint them in the best light to their bosses. It's just human nature.

Especially the second part is often overlooked and the reason why people say corruption breeds mediocrity and stagnation.
Applying this to the rrat of pushing out successful competition in the branch,
they would filter talented and motivated people in the audition so they do not threaten their position in the first place. Combine this with other sabotage like lack of marketing and at least in my headcanon this is why TTT turned out the way it did.

Anon, you are too naive. Yagoo likes a shitton of posts from rival companies and multiple other brands who aren't even directly involved in vtuber stuff, like sports teams.

Anon, they didn't terminate a talent. They terminated the whole project and left the Vtuber market.
Things like these have already happened in the past, like StarRing, for example, and the talents usually keep the IP.
