Hololive Announces Overseas Bases Is this a ploy by YAGOO to take advantage of Nijisanji, which is struggling to expand overseas?Looking at the viewing time, it doesn't seem like the Nijisanji firestorm will have a minor impact on business results. ..

It's been over for at least 12 months. If this was boxing a ref would've stopped the fight months ago to prevent serious brain damage. Unfortunately Anycolor got confused and uppercutted itself in the last 2 months

Meanwhile Nijifans be like
>B-but niji is bigger than hololive in Japan
lol, no.. at least not anymore.
just look at how many sponsors jumped ship to holo

>> No.71188688

That NijiEN decline is actually catastrophic. How can Riku possibly try to dress up that data as positive? He tried to pretend that the earnings lost by EN was being absorbed by JP. But there's no way he can do that here again.

>> No.71188808

>>71182503
Thank you but are the investors actually seeing this? Because we know EN is a lost cause, the problem is the japanese figuring that out.

OP just copy-pasted a random post from the holobrony comment section of one of the anti-niji matome blogs that quoted a tweet by someone with a towa avatar
apparently the numbers are their stock identifiers (tickers), maybe he thought the number being higher meant it was better

Not just EN but jp as well. Niji has double the talents on the books. They should be dominating watch hours by sheer volume of streams alone. It's also harder for sponsors to identify who they want to shill their products, other than the top 5 or 6. It's hard to identify demographics and whether the content is appropriate for the product eg you don't want a talent that has mainly u18 viewers shilling alcohol. Sponsors aren't going to go through 150+ talents and watch their content. While not every sponsorship deal is going to be megabucks sponsors still want bang for buck.

The real question is: How will he explain his failure to expand to the overseas market when Cover just announced that they're opening an US office to facilitate distribution and brand deals?
We all know that the upcoming Anycolor investors meeting would be a shitshow but with this recent announcement it's gonna be a bloodbath.

Riku is going to ignore the data and hope nobody else saw today's dump. The ostrich defense could only work in Japan with a 2 day grace period after all.

the decline in feb is easy to explain when half the branch isn't streaming at all. what i hope investors will rake him over is the havoc wreaked by advent. their watch hours never recovered.
