So, those were a lot of words to say that they're building a Nintendo of America equivalent that handles localization/translation of content here and coordination of con appearances and region-specific sidecontent there
Cool, seems sound.
I don't think this is their intent due to the cost and complexity, but I've thought about what it would mean if a JP language company were to leverage a combination of machine translation and cheap collaboration with fans to quickly release translations of entire streams, at least major or popular ones.
Hell, I know there are already fan translators in the chats (that I cannot see because I am a PipedInvidiousYtdlMpvNittermax schizo) so all you really have to do is unscuff that into proper, official captions so EOPs are exposed even more frequently to non-English talents.

If it was true, Japan wouldn't know about it for at least 10 more years. I know that its true, I'm living it, but American businesses are going to Florida and Texas, not international. New York is for the European, Middle Eastern and African markets. California is for Eastern Asian and Oceana markets. They take California because they don't want to go through the Panama canal to sell things in the US. From what I've seen, the USA office seems to be more of a business/PR place than something for creative work and streaming on a large scale. It's basically going to be the central point where work can get done which would require privacy or direct work with Cover staff, but doesn't need a flight out to Japan to make happen.

So, at most, it'll have a recording studio, but otherwise I see it being a point of contact for corporate relations and merchandise.
