The angel investor thing is probably the biggest motivator. The studio was already built so 'recouping money' just looks like sort of a cope. The only reason for a lot of investors to put in money for small companies early is so they can ride the meteoric rise in price on initial expansion, get out before it slows down, and do it all over again to other startups. They don't care if your business is going to grow by a great 40% every year if they can use that money better in another business growing at a spectacular 300% a year.

It's even funnier if you look at the 1y chart. The last time 5032.T was under 2500 was on March 15, 2023 - one year ago tomorrow.
Everything they've gained since then is now gone, and there is a very high chance that the stock will hit an all time low on Monday (does Tokyo do after-hours trading on Friday afternoons after 3pm/Monday mornings before 9am?) of at or just above 1940 yen per share.

At this point I can't help but wonder if they'll even still be listed before the end of Q4.

Really though, this isn't going to shut Anycolor down (immedately). The likely thing to happen is the stock keeps sliding while the talents funnel out one by one (already happening) and they debut no more new people.
