Depending on how big of a brain you have, a first playthrough can take anywhere from 40h to 100h. (It varies a lot because the game is very flexible with regards to playstyles.) The speedrun achievements are 15h and 8h. There's mods that can take upwards of 1000h.

I considered getting Factorio myself not too long ago because I was looking for some comfy casual games with some strategy or resource management element to them, and Factorio is pretty highly rated as well as officially verified for Steam Deck playability, but holy shit this game looks like it demands heavy involvement and investment and long play sessions. Not a bad thing inherently, but it definitely doesn't sound like something you can get the hang of and start playing quickly and just pick up and unwind with after a long day at work and put down after an hour or less play session at a time.

The game itself is comfy. You can completely turn off enemies and just make a factory. It is impossible to fail to launch a rocket. You can essentially play it if you can do basic math. However, the game really is addictive and the hours just fly by so it is indeed hard to put down after a single hour.

It's not really that it's not well suited to short play sessions (There's always going to be some satisfying progress you can do in an hour, be it building a new production unit or just fixing bottlenecks in the factory.) but more that you're going to start playing it after work and then realize the sun is rising again and you've been playing for the last 8 hours.

I assume she was talking about the 2014 movie starring Jake Gyllenhaal and not the X-Men superhero. Anyway this is one of my favorite movies of that year and of that decade and I'm glad Korone enjoyed it too. I recommend it to you guys as well.
I'm surprised that Korone even heard about this movie and I don't know what interested her to watch it. It was not a popular movie in the states even though it got good reviews. Maybe she saw that one Spiderman movie which has Jake playing one of the main characters and decided to look up more of his movies. That must be how she found the movie Room now that I think about it; it stars the girl who played Captain Marvel.

I spent full 5 days to beat Krastorio 2. I bought the game for 20 bucks and it's worth every penny. It'll teach you to organize stuff and punish you for building spaghetti solutions. Plus the devs are really great. I love their technical blogposts!

If you're curious, the game has a demo on Steam. The demo is just the tutorial, so you can play through what she played through for free. If you've never played a game like it it'll take you a while to wrap your head around it, though DESU picking up the pieces of half a base is harder than starting from scratch.
