It's also an EXPIRED contract, though they seem to have lied enough about that to make even Serafi believe it.

Even if it wasn't, the maximum penalty described in the contract for early termination is $20K.

Under US law, invoicing someone making less than minimum wage for $450,000 is a crime called "extortion". The US regularly extradites foreign nationals for that very crime. If they really want to push it, someone from V&U could easily find themselves in a US prison.

Leaving aside the cascading failure of legal issues, threatening someone for $450K for simply wanting to exercise their right to terminate a contract is just monstrously wrong, any way you cut it.

...Not that attacking a popular suicide victim, twice, and having your own talents carry out the second attack, after seeing the catastrophically bad reaction to the first, is real bright either.

The only way it makes sense is that they saw it went pretty well with Zaion and figured they could just do the same thing to Selen with no issue.
