There's probably not a lot to talk about even if she's still studying. Getting real progress is hard and I suspect Kanata doesn't have a lot of free time to just jam away and have fun. Also as soon as she mentions it people remind her of their desire to see her stream it and since she can't do this yet it probably seems like she's disappointing her fans. I always assumed losing hearing in one ear would have nothing to do with pitch perception, then the other day I actually tried sealing one ear and playing my piano only to find that the piano started sounding pitch shifted and out of tune. Shit was really weird, but honestly it matches how Kanata has usually mentioned pitch control before anything else when she's talked about her difficulties with singing. I think that's probably where a lot of issues that come up in her singing ultimately stem from. Not saying that they're all pitch related, but things like being insecure about whether you're on the right pitch or not, or focusing too much on pitch control in lieu of other things probably do lead to other issues. Hopefully it's something that can be overcome with enough practice, because god knows that Kanata is good at grinding.

The fact that she often notices when she's off means she still has a mental reference of what the right pitch should be. Making mistakes is natural even for full hearing singers, knowing you've made them is a sign of experience. She does a good job at compensating for the pitch and the rhythm sometimes.

It's so damn frustrating when there is something you just can't fix, something you have to try so many times to get right - if you even notice it yourself. The fact that she always has to walk an extra mile to just match "normal" singing but then she walks another one to challenge herself to be more than that is astounding to me and I admire it greatly. Everything she has accomplished in Hololive is the proof of her effort to surpass even her pre-handicap self.

Kanata most certainly does, though it's gotten much better compared to last year. You can't really blame them though, Holo's explosion in popularity was too big and too fast. Kanata in particular probably applied to holo just before the boom started and debuted just as things were starting to accelerate. She was struggling just figuring out how to stream everyday while everything kept getting bigger and bigger around her. Anybody would feel impostor syndrome in those circumstances.

Nobody loses viewers over a short break. Kanata's frame of reference is her disappearing for a month, it's not the same, she herself doesn't lose viewers if she stops streaming for a couple of days. Disregarding family over this just seems unnecessary for me. It's not that hard to edit the model. You can edit the texture file shown in >>7577645 -- the black piece on the left is basically the "legs" that turn them from panties into spats. So if you color over those by sampling the color of her skin just below, you get what looks like black panties. That's the black piece on the right which is harder to edit, it needs some texture to look decent and I'm not a graphics guy so I gave up there. Kanata's turbulent but constant evolution is one of the things that makes it gratifying having her as an oshi. Even today it still feels like she's trying to find her own voice, or maybe it would be better to say that she's building it from the ground up. Holo might have a lot of introverted autists, but Kanatan is in her own category in terms of how much she had to open up to adapt to life as a streamer.
