Trying to drag a rich foreign entity into a civil suit is financial suicide. It doesn't matter how much in the wrong they are, they'll just drag the case out until you run out of money. Unless you're filthy rich yourself, no lawyer will take such a case.

That said, she was a good earner, and the manager a co-founder, so clearly something went down. The fact that she's not stupid enough to sue, however, is really more evidence in her favor than against - proves she's at least not absolutely insane.
