Things like this are funny because it reveals how incredibly insulated the average Holofag is. Because no, plenty of people stream long regular hours because they enjoy streaming. You want to know what's killing HoloEN specifically? The workload for people who just want to be streamers and idol shit is secondary. Having to fly to Japan to dance for an hour is incredibly fucking taxing when it happens over and over and the streaming suffers as a result. The JP's typically don't have that problem because visiting the studio for them is, at most, a day's trip on a train and back. Other corpos and groups don't have that problem either because they're not requiring that sort of thing from their talents. VShojo completely blows HoloEN out of the water in pure streaming hours and it would not be that close if the EN's weren't consistently burnt out from their work.

And then when you look at which Holos do the best in terms of streaming hours? It's the ones who live or moved to Japan, or the ones who haven't been beaten down by burnout yet (Advent)

Worked really hard for the first 5 years or so, then slowly did a little less each year until I figured out that I can get by with doing almost nothing at all now.
