If he became a VTuber and made no public statements/connections as his VTuber self to his prior facecam self, then yes it should be haram to be posting anything about "PewDiePie" in any context or space where discussion about his VTuber self is going on. One of the basic characteristics of a VTuber is that the identity of the VTuber's "soul" is supposed to be confidential. At least, that's how it was supposed to be, but the idea has been challenged and violated here and there over the years. Abandoning the idea is something I don't want to see normalized because it destroys part of what made the VTuber concept appealing in the first place, speaking as someone who has been following this industry since the early days.

Of course, people will bring up the Gamebu incident, but I don't think that's an argument against keeping confidentiality. We already solved how to maintain both confidentiality and integrity in cryptography and can build a parallel system when it comes to keeping the identity of the "soul" private while also guaranteeing that a VTuber's "soul" isn't replaced.
