I still can't tell if she's actually upset about the NijiJP thing among other criticisms. Today she was making a tiramisu and said "I want to not only be known as cute, I want to be interesting!" then immediately changed the subject when chat said she's cute. Then she brought up the comments about people calling her NijiJP (despite all the Japanese she says simply being translations instead of convos that EOPs would miss out on). She even discussed it on Twitter with Oliver who has the reverse problem.
There was also a small instance where chat spammed ants, she said she hated and was scared of bugs, and they spammed it harder until she (jokingly?) said she'd cry, then they mostly stopped.
What I'm saying is when she's annoyed at something it's hard to tell if it's genuine upset at what people say, if she's really insecure from these comments or not, or if it's her playing into chat memes.

I think you can be interesting or entertaining without being clippable etc. Nijisanji has a space to be filled for the soft and comfy Ina-esque streamer, and I think she can definitely fill that niche as she is.

Unfortunately, her stream times are massively unfriendly to EU, which means she's always banking on JOPs to fill in for an audience that Selen and Rosemi are able to capture more frequently. The title of her recent MK8 stream stood out to me, too, called 'i won't lose!!!!!!!!!', the kind of title you'd expect from a Japanese streamer using broken English even though we know she's fluent English.

I don't think bilingualism and self-translating for your audience is a skill you should refrain from using, but it IS a balancing act that she's leaned too heavily to one side on. This is to say nothing of the fact that, probably due to timezones, Rosemi is able to barge into Selen and Finana's APEX collab where Petra is yet to engage with any of the other 5 in such a way outside their wave collab.

Sincerely, I hope she's able to find her footing. She's playing unique games and doing different things which is good. That doesn't necessarily translate into raw views, though. Rosemi is in a similar predicament of still trying to figure out what she wants to be. We see this kind of thing very often with new V-Tubers.

To be honest, her yesterdays cooking stream was unintentional comedy of the highest caliber. She just needs to looses up a bit and goof around with the audience and all will be well. I was laughing my ass off during that whole stream. Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong, and the fact the very first thing she said at the beginning is how she did this a thousand times before and how she'll be fine just made it funnier.

Nijisanji isn't bad at all. A day or so ago I watched Elira and Pomu joined in later, and it was a great stream. They actually have great chemistry. Anyway. Petra just needs to loosen up a bit. I think she's a good girl and a nice person behind the screen, and has yet to learn to go all out with the weirdness or just fooling around with her streams. I think she has potential.
