My own theory is that Hololive didn't actually care if the girls would have chemistry or not. My biggest issue with HoloEN is how even after a year they must follow these same guidelines such as timed collabs. I mean, if they're really enjoying their time there, why not just keep going? What's the big deal? Are they so busy to the point of treating this job like a bunch of business meetings?
My advice for people in this thread is, if you don't really like it, just move on like I did. Most people are more than happy to eat up any shit as long as it has the Hololive logo, it's no use arguing with people on a mongolian basket weaving forum.
One last thing about their chemistry, the truth is, it's hard to assemble a bunch of random people and expect them to get along just because they're coworkers. That's why with JP you see a bunch of "nepotism" hiring. And in my honest opinion that's probably the best way around it (it sucks for outsiders though), you see how people say that it worked well for NijiEN.

Petra was doing better in the last Minecraft stream. It turned into an impromptu collab with Pomu where she was adopted into Lazulight and then promptly disowned again.

HoloEN is missing someone similar to Pomu or FBK who is obsessed with other vtubers and watches them constantly. Hololive collab rules are also too strict, so FBK can't randomly show up in other's streams the way Pomu does.

I watched the entire stream and enjoyed myself.
That being said poor chemistry is a real problem.

Pretty much none of the other members laughed or got the reference despite it being one of the most normalfag weeb gacha/mmo references.
The thing is, this collab was full of moments like this. One of the biggest offenders is Gura. She kept derailing the telephone with her jokes/references combined with shit drawings meant that pretty much no one except chat understood the jokes. Gartic phone is one of those games that rely on the members being having chemistry especially when 4/6 of them are shitty at drawing.

However despite this their chemistry honestly wasn't that terrible. Its pretty comparable to Nijisanji's world gartic collab. You can make the argument that HoloEN should be held to a higher standard since they are all from the same generation but why would you? Its clear going in that HoloEn are very different personalities and most of them wouldn't be friends with each other if HoloEN didn't exist with the exception of gurame. Nijisanji world had probably less chemistry but the average drawing skill was higher which is why they are equal.

Anyway heres the gartic phone rankings

Vspo > HoloJP = NijiID > Toya + viewers > NijiWorld = HoloEn > Kiara + Artists > Anyone else + Viewers.

For todays collab.
Ina > Mori > Ame = Kiara > Irys > Gura
Ina had good drawings and good jokes.
Mori had decent drawings and was pretty inoffensive.
Both Kiara and Ame were net neutral. Both had pretty bad drawings but Ame jokes had higher highs but more awkward lows..
Irys had shit drawings and almost no jokes.
Gura had shit drawings and she constantly sabotaged the telephone for her jokes that no one else got.
