I spent a lot of time with an indie on a Discord, watched TV shows with them, watched their streams a lot, watched movies. They never seemed interested in what I had to share or even most of my comments on Discord. No matter what you ready here from Holo-board, Twitch is actually by far the better option for indies, it's not even close, the networking and discoverability is just so much better. It's also where the western indie audience already is. Youtube does have better VOD and scheduling but that's about it. All the western indies popular here who were on youtube are switching recently too, Africat, Koopa, even Kana (400~700 viewers average). Things like raids, the very accurate stream recommendations, having an actual vtuber category, sub gifting, your emotes in other people's chat and so on are all very good networking tools, something indies need since they don't have genmates to collab with and a company to take care of the rest. One experience I can share is that a pre-debut indie got in contact with me since a mutual friend said her I'm into vtubers, so she wanted to ask some questions
Turns out she was "into me" just 3 days after we started talking, really weird girl, already talking about coming to my city and everything (she was fat so I refused)
