Cover's management is notorious for being creepy, lazy, and awful.
They block games that mention Taiwan because they tried to expand into china with an entire new branch (like holoEN), and one of their most popular vtubers named Coco was looking at viewer analytics on stream and simply mentioned Taiwan as a place.

Now, instead of simply doing the logical thing and blocking the Chinese bugmen from their onslaught of death threats, Cover management triple downed, and banned Coco for a couple weeks, and also made it so she couldn't collab or play approved games anymore.
While this happened, Gura was playing a game called Muse Dash, which is made by the bugmen who pulled their endorsement for Cover and threatened to sue anyone in Cover for simply playing the game.

All this controversy lasted months and Cover's management did literally nothing but harass Coco and threaten their talents over it. Because when you're a small multi million dollar company (Q4 2020 brought in 160 million in USD by the way) you're powerless when the Chinese come a knocking.

Theres also many recent incidents as well mentioned by Gura and Kiara where management is lazy and inable to do their fucking jobs.
