If you're talking about the short vid clips instead of the long format live streams it's because of clippers and YouTube's algorithm. With long format stuff the creation and sharing of a short clip that's recognized by the AI to be from said long format stream/vid feeds the algorithm to promote it more. Also doing collab is a big boost with cross pollination feeding the algorithm more. The longer the stream/vids the more clips that can be made so one stream is shared multiple times in tiny bits. With short vids there's almost nothing ever to clip since they're already short so nothing new is made to share. Also lack of collabs.

It was just really bad miscommunication on the company's part, a quality every JP vtuber companies seem to share. Unfortunate but it hurt her brand really bad because JP viewers started jumping ship. Her sub count is so over inflated compared to actual viewers I wouldn't be surprised if it steadily declines for the next 5 years. JP market is pretty much too late for her with Hololive and Nijisanji taking the majority of it. If she wants the EN audience she has to learn to meme or else she'll have to start begging e-celebs. Memes are her only chance.

I am afraid that this is a pretty quickly moving industry. It is rather baffling to me that the fascination with vtubers even held so long, or that it managed to center so strongly around Holo/Niji.
I don't think this will last for much longer, and while I wish everyone to have an amazing career and, hopefully, life, I don't know how some will deal once the attention is gone and there is no way to make yourself grow anymore.

I miss the simpler times when we were tribal fagging luna or kizuna despite the 2 clearly liking each other very much, different landscape, collabs were monumental due to everyone being from a different company, and everyone had something unique.

But one sad thing was always present, kizuna ai was slowly but surely being pushed out of the spotlight, she's a safe bet, she's the progenitor, and she is legitimately entertaining, but the format has changed.

Now we're spolit for choice, I still remember people saying it'll be nijisanji will be the death of vtubing but what does THE WORLD when we talk about?

Hololive, meanwhile my oshi is MIA and the only thing left of her is her distant sister who's an australian rat under hololive and her passionate mother.

I actually enjoy her a lot, but her content creation strategy feels completely outdated.

I dunno why the Nips don't like her that much, but for me it's just I have nothing to watch. If she's going to stay on YouTube longer format live streams are the way to go right now until the algorithm changes. She already has brand recognition that's worth at least 100k views per vid, she's good with fan interactions, her 3D is amazing, 1+hr live streams brings in fans who'll clip their favorite moments feeding the algorithm to push her out more, she gets extra income from super chats, etc. The main thing she might have to worry about is lots of trolls which might hurt her in the short run but saviorfags might end up being a boost like how they saved Towa. imo the upside heavily outweighs any downside and she's probably aware of it, which would mean she just doesn't want to do live streaming, and that decision is letting Hololive and Nijisanji take her viewers. YT isn't actually any good for streams. For vtubers it only really works in the holo and niji bubble and for practically no one else. YT's algo is better suited for short videos and small clips that go viral by accident, not hour long VODs. Streams also clash with her busy schedules doing things outside of the platform, like recording music videos, singing, dancing, working with other companies, planning concerts and other events. What I think she should capitalize on that only she really does is her dancing videos, which she currently mostly uploads to tiktok. It's easy normiebait, and in the current vtuber climate where people are satisfied with half-assedly rigged L2Ds, her 3D model can deliver content no one else can.
