Long story short. The hole already existed before Kiara's first stream. The dirt tower was already there. Given the time line, it was dug off stream.

Nobody build stairs, nobody connected it to the cave that it's 1 block away from. Nobody did anything and it connects down to a mine shaft.

This means 2 things
Either
A. Whoever dug it died and never went back for their shit, which means it must've been early game (I.E stone picks) or they were stupid enough to not go back for iron tools

or The more sinister option:

B. Someone on the holo server is using x-ray textures and saw a mineshaft and dug straight down without any worry about where anything was because they saw the mineshaft.

What I find odd, is that the hole doesn't lead anywhere but the mineshaft. Which means someone dug straight down but didn't need to get back up.
Which leads us to management using creative to dig a hole to do some shit. Probably testing changing gamemodes in the early days to make sure it worked just incase of an emergency.

Well didn't their management used the locate command to found Coral reefs for Gura? On that one collab stream between Gura and Ame (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bs047EAR2hY)) when Ame reached the coordinates there was a boat right in the middle of the Coral reef. If it was Gura, or one of the girls, the boat would prob be at the coast and not left alone in the middle of the ocean.

I suspect it was probably Management who dig the Kiara's Hole in order to find resources for the girls, AND, probably cut the spruce tree right next to the hole to make pickaxes (or they were using creative mode).

I feel like I have faint memory of Gura going for adventure in Minecraft.
Chat advises Gura not to dig straight down, while she is looking for adventure.
Gura feels like she wants to go adventure and proceeds digs down despite the chats advises.
She gets to the Mine shaft and does not know what she stumbled into, so she continues to dig down.
Chat does notices the mine shaft, proceed to tell Gura.
Gura hits to the bottom of the hole "Finally adventure!" proceeds to die to something.
Respawns and then marks the shaft for later use if they need it as chat made it seem important.

Frankly. If I dug some random hole the first day I was on the server just fooling around since I've never played the game before I would forget I did it. The timeframe it was done limits those who could have done it.

That hole was obviously made in creative mode, probably by management. There is no sign of a path made to climb back up and there is no sign that anyone was exploring as they went straight past the mines and there are no torches in the cave at the far bottom. The dirt pillar is completely unrelated to the hole, it was made by someone trying to cut down a tree.

They very well could have just been breaking blocks to make sure the server is handling it. Abandoned mineshafts are usually huge and you can find them by digging down easily even if you arent looking for one.
