TakaMori has the benefit that Kiara is the one person Mori is willing to give shit and shittalk regularly. The downside of course is dealing with the yuri kayfabe that's usually around the corner. Bonebros doesn't have to deal with that shit so it feels more chill and natural.

I'm not that surprised about it. I think Mori may just be an isolated incident at least on the EN side of things. I don't think many other musicians that are as self-sufficient as her would apply for hololive.

A few of them are somewhat multitalented (mumei with singing and art, fauna is not bad at it too), just not on the scale of the EN1/Mori I guess. They also just seem to be hiding their power levels for whatever reason, like Sana with her art skills and Kronii not pushing her singing (too early to tell how good she is but she has great potential)/music-related stuff more.

there are tons and tons of great vtuber musicians, and plenty of musicians who aren't currently vtubers who would absolutely apply to hololive, either because they like hololive or because they know its a guaranteed way to make being a full time creative a career, which is something not even a lot of established musicians can do.
quite frankly theres no way they didnt get tons of incredible musicians and artists with how desirable a hololive spot is, so they were obviously looking for something more than that

as someone who spends a lot of time in my local music scene, there are so many incredibly talented, prolific musicians trapped in dead end jobs that would absolutely kill for a gig like hololive. talked to like 3 or 4 different people whove specifically said they would have applied if they were female. being able to do music full time even with big restrictions like cover is an absolute dream for the vast majority of musicians.

Considering Mori literally just found out Gura has had a controller for awhile now on this stream, it's also an issue of either one reaching out.
