As for the smut the style kind of runs into some problems, the paragraphs are kind of too large and unwieldy. A bit too impersonal to actually get me horny. As well as the narration kind of falling apart in the 'fanciness' but not in a way that looks intentional.

There's no real preference other than always keeping their animal features (if they have any). Unless there's a good plot related reason for them not having their animal features, 99% of people keep them, even if it doesn't make sense for animal girls to exist in our world. If by humans with quirks you mean stuff like advanced hearing and sense of smell for cats like Okayu, that's up to you. Full blown mystical powers depend on the plot. You could make it so that Ina just doesn't have tentacles, or Ame is just a normal american woman that buys wonder bread. But if you want to write about Ina tentacle raping you, or about a time travelling Ame, you can include their powers. Up to you, do whatever you want. As long you keep the Chuubas in character, and loosely follow their lore, anything works. Try reading Holofantasy if you want an example of full blown mystical powers applied in a story

You have indeed hit on something that I myself am still trying to figure out. No matter how hard I try, the crux of the matter is that I have genuine difficulty writing smut. I will admit it, though it is not for lack of trying. Smut in the sense that its purpose is to ultimately provide someone with a nut bust. I am envious of other writeanons who can seemingly create erotica with ease. But despite this I know I can write other types of things well, and that's not me stroking my ego either! But yes, there is a conflict present and you have correctly noticed it because it shows up persistently in my stories no matter how hard I try to stamp it out and I am sadly aware of the issue. I do not yet know if it can be remedied. If I were to be laissez-faire about the matter, I could simply chalk it up as: "no work is perfect I guess" but that would be making excuses. As an aside, I have mentioned it in passing
before, but a big inspiration for me is the maximalist style. I am fascinated with it and perhaps this can go some ways into explaining the admittedly odd focus I have when stitching things together sometimes.

Well, that was very interesting. Echoing the sentiments above, I agree that it was very difficult to find something arousing in this. The verbosity of it all was quite alarming, and I even learned a few new words from it - Imago as an example. However, I think you did a really good job with the process of conveying just how fucking nightmarishly disgusting the entire thing was. From the description of the bugs to the term 'lather', it really helped sell the truly grotesque feeling, in my mind. If your desire was to make the reader feel moderately unwell, then pat yourself on the back; it certainly made my stomach twist. On the erotic end, however, it was a bit too...clinical, I guess? I never really felt as though this was something I should - or could - masturbate too. It was mixed in with too much of the disgusting aspects for my tastes. Normally I find insect rape to be a guilty pleasure, but with this, the focus on the horrid insects and their various descriptions and actions sort of took away from my erection and brought it to just how vile everything truly was. The final nail in the "I am not taking my dick out to this" coffin, in my opinion, was the ovipositor work. I did, however, really like your descriptions of how Korone was handling it all. I'm also glad you went with the evil Okayu idea I pitched at the end. Overall, I really enjoyed the fic - it was truly revolting and horrific. Thank you for the work! I think your main issue is that you yourself don't know what you want to do with your work. You stay on top of the line, not going down the erotica path nor the vile descriptions path. It may be hard to accept but your writing style of using the most unorthodox words possible isn't a great fit for smut, given the reader half the time is trying to understand what they are reading rather than jacking off. Not only that, but even though your concept is to describe how terrible the experience is, using the words like excrement, or piss and feces really isn't sensual at all and would kill most boners, if they are present. I don't want to say that you should abandon your style because it is what makes you, you. But it would be very hard for you to manage to turn this into an actual smut that is hot enough to jerk off to. Pic semi related when I read the words maggoty, somnambulant, immiserate, etc.

The first thing is to extend your sentences, cause there's quite a few that could be connected with a comma or an 'and' and would help make it a smoother reading experience.

"What could only be described as a barrage fires from your upper body" is kind of an awkward phrase because 'barrage' is a fairly common term used to describe the action. It'd be like saying "what could only be described as stumble occurred when Amelia missed the last step on the stairway", it's just weird and unnecessary.

I also think they turn from beating her because Anon's frustrated and annoyed to because it makes him hard is a bit sudden and unclear so the ending where he's walking away as a pleased sadist is off, but because it's a relatively short story I can understand why it'd be like that.

For a first attempt it was overall pretty good, for sure. I hope you stick around

I'm not really going for shock or anything anymore. I'm just practicing stuff, mostly dialogue. It's interesting to read into what cancer does to the body. Bone marrow cancer shuts off your immune system, kidney cancer shuts off filtration and results in blood in your urine, then lung cancer makes you cough up blood and have difficulty breathing. But the breast cancer... there's no info on it. It's intriguing. I also learned that the bone marrow isn't in your spine as I always thought, it's the hip bones next to your tailbone, not only that but the surgery is very non invasive for the receiver. You basically get fed the bone marrow transplant through an IV, that simple. The story may not be captivating given that I've abandoned the shock value completely this time, being almost entirely clinical, but I'm having fun with it. I'm not in a rush.

I've written fanfiction before and every time I wrote a new chapter for any of my stories, I always felt tha any of the scenes that involved any sort of action that's not walking or talking was lacking. My vocabulary is very limited and I always feel like I either go overboard with my descriptions or make them too short. Some good advice I got was to not overly rely on synonyms. While you're using a different word in place of the same one, the meaning still comes across the same. It may be worth reworking some sentences so that even though the message is clear, it feels different enough to not sound like you're reading the same thing over and over. Space it out, I guess.
